For one week in March, March 6th – March 10th, you could earn $10 per hour helping Heritage Community Transportation to obtain the information needed to improve services and provide data beneficial to secure funding to keep this service in operation. You would ride assigned trips, ask passengers specific survey questions and write down their responses.

Responsibilities

  • While on-board an assigned van trip, youwould work independently encouraging each boarding passenger to respond orally to survey questions while simultaneously writing down individual passenger responses.
  • You would be required to provide passengers with professional and accurate responses related to the purpose, usage and content of the survey.
  • You would rideassigned van routes of which you are responsible for getting to and from pre-identified Heritage Community Transportation bus stops at specified times. The bus stops used for this survey are:
  • Dynamo Way, East Pittsburgh
  • 5th Avenue and Rebecca Street, McKeesport
  • Wal-Mart, North Versailles
  • You wouldcomplete entire trip assignments on the days and at the times assigned. Van assignments vary in times between 5:15 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Survey Interviewer assignments range from 3 hours 45 minutes to 5 hours and 45 minutes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • You must be 18 years of age or over and capable of working independently
  • Comfortable with talking to people and have good communication skills
  • Conduct job assignment in a respectful and professional manner
  • Read, write and understand English
  • Have good penmanship and the ability to write legible responses to the survey questions while the van is in motion
  • Have the ability to ride in a van for the entire assignment (up to 5 hours and 45 minutes) without a break
  • You must be able to get to and from the assigned starting and ending points (bus stops)
  • Attend a one-hour paid training session at Heritage’s Administration Offices in
    Braddock, PA
  • Complete employment application, liability waiver and surveys as well as turn-in all required paperwork
