John C. Maxwell Debuts New Book in Gwinnett on October 9

Gwinnett Technical College Sponsors Business Leadership Event

LAWRENCEVILLE – Gwinnett Technical College (GTC), along with the Gwinnett Business Journal, will sponsor a special live event with New York Times bestselling author John C. Maxwell as he debuts and teaches from his new book on leadership management, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth.

The Laws of Growth Eventis Tues., Oct. 9, from 10-11:30 a.m., at 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville, Ga. In addition, VIP ticket holders will have lunch with Maxwell immediately following the morning event and receive a free, autographed copy of his new book. Tickets to this limited seating event can be purchased online at

“John Maxwell’s focus and priorities align so closely with ours at Gwinnett Tech. John is a life-long educator and his books have coached countless business leaders on management, growth and achievement,” says Sharon Bartels, president, Gwinnett Tech. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Tech Foundation.

Maxwell identifies the missing ingredient in today’s corporate culture and will share the winning formula for becoming an effective leader with the business community. At The Laws of Growth Event, Maxwell will explain how to pursue intentional behaviors to achieve personal growth as a means to satisfaction and success.

“This is the first time that I’ve taught these laws, although I’ve lived them for 40 years,” explains Maxwell.

The internationally renowned leadership expert has published 72 books with over 21 million copies sold worldwide, yet this debut of his latest work represents his first live book launch event. This third and final book in Maxwell’s Laws series (following The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork) will help individuals become life-long learners whose potential keeps increasing.

“We are ecstatic about being in Gwinnett. Through his non-profit organizations, John Maxwell has trained over five million leaders worldwide, and by way of his published works, tens of millions have gained leadership skills,” says Mark Cole, CEO of The John Maxwell Company. “Gwinnett has put an emphasis on leadership in every sector. That is the reason John has chosen to debut his book here.”

Gwinnett is home to the new John C. Maxwell Leadership Center that broke ground earlier this year on the 12Stone Church campus.

“We invite the business community to join us for this special morning of inspiration and encouragement,” says Bartels. “This is a wonderful opportunity for your entire leadership team to gain meaningful insight on leadership and personal growth.”

General seating for the 10 a.m. event starts at $35. For $195, there is a limited seating VIP luncheon with Maxwell immediately following The Laws of Growth Event. Corporate tables are also available. Learn more and buy tickets at
