Trillium Woods Welcomes Residents
Senior Living Community Opens in Plymouth, Minn. Focusing on Wellness
PLYMOUTH, Minn. –The $161 million Trillium Woods, an amenity-richsenior living community nestled in a stunning, natural setting has opened in Plymouth, Minn.
The distinctive design of the 46-acre Trillium Woods continuing care retirement community(CCRC) is a modern version of prairie style, incorporating the area’s woodland landscape forproviding a comfortable living environment.
Trillium Woods is located west of Minneapolis on hilly woodlands and protected wetlands, offering scenic views of Lakes Pomerleau and Camelot in a setting inspired by nature. The community offers 209 independent living residences and an on-site health center, The Birches at Trillium Woods.
Residents have the choice of 14 different floor plans for independent living, from spacious one bedroom and two bedroom plus den apartment homes as well as duplex-style garden homes featuring large open floorplans. All residences include patios or balconies and range from approximately 784 to 2,277 square feet.
The Birches at Trillium Woods Health Center features 44 private suites providing assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care in a beautifully-designed setting. The
health center provides a refreshing approach to long-term health services at a significantly lower cost than other health care options available to seniors. Trillium Woods’ LifeCare Plan provides unlimited days of long-term health care services when needed, providing a peace of mind and predictable future costs.
Amenities include a clubhouse, convenience store, postal service, on-site
banking, fitness center with personalized wellness plans and rehabilitation center, library, fireside lounges, spa, barbershop and salon, chapel, auditorium, restaurant-style dining that offers healthy cuisine options, café, cocktail lounge, indoor pool and outdoor terrace, and nature trails linking with the Three Rivers Park District and Northwest Greenway Trail systems. Trillium Woods will also be pet friendly.
Trillium Woods features a geothermal system of deep wells for heating and cooling, dedicated to the health and comfort of the residents.The system offers a sustainable approach to conserving energy and Trillium Woodsis targeting LEED-Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Trillium Woodsoffers residentsa unique and attractive financial plan that provides a minimum of 50 or 80 percent refund of the entrance payment no matter the length of residency. Residents who choose an apartment home or garden home will pay a one-time entrance fee ranging from $296,600 to $1.084 million and a first-person monthly fee ranging from $3,072 to $4,737 that is all inclusive including future long-term care.
Trillium Woods has been designed by Rice Fergus Miller of Bremerton, Wash. The Weitz Company of Des Moines, Iowa is serving as the general contractor.
