[Centre/nursery/group]takes part in The Giant Wiggleto help disadvantaged children
[Name of centre/nursery/group]in [place] is teaming up with Action for Children and The World of Eric Carle™ and hosting a ‘Giant Wiggle’on [day date month] to celebrate the UK’s most read children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™.
Now in its fifth year, the fun filled walks will bring children together to wiggle like little caterpillars in giant conga lines and encourage them to play and develop their skills and imaginations through storytelling and themed activities such as interactive storytelling, role playing and arts and crafts. The event also included PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) and Penguindeveloped educational materials.
All money raised through the event will support Action for Children’s work across the country to help disadvantaged children, young people and families in the heart of communities.
Action for Children provides early year’s child development, learning and childcare services through its centres to thousands of children across the UK, and is calling on the Government to ensure that child development is a national priority in England.
