ST2 – General Hints

If doing a GP Post you need to apply to go on to National Performers List 2 months before start date.

  • Start looking at GP Consultation models- through reading, tutorials if in a GP placement, as well as with your ST1 / 2 learning set
  • Read the AiT journal
  • Start looking at the GP Curriculum – including the core statements and the specific learning outcomes for the post you are currently doing
  • If in a GP or ITP post –remember you MUST book your Out of Hours sessions. In a 4-month post you need to do 24hrs
  • Find out about your Local Faculty Group from your GP Programme Directors. When is it held? Decide with their help who will be the Year 2 Representative, give feedback to the rep ahead of the LFG
  • Keep up to date with your e-portfolio
  • Child safety modules to be completed every year and documented in your eportfolio
