Red Ribbon Week – For celebrating Red Ribbon Week, we are face painting on stage during FIRE and lunch and also join us for the drunk goggle bowling on Stage during lunch TODAY!

Seniors! – It’s time to do the honors! Jostens will be taking cap and gown and the official graduation announcement orders on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 4th and 5th during lunch outside stage. Also Tuesday evening November 4th at 6:30-8:00pm in the Media Center. Thank you Class of 2015. Finish Strong!!

FCA Club – Meeting will meet at lunch TODAY in Black Box. If you are looking for something more in your life, check us out!

Kiwins – Is meeting TODAY!

Juniors and Seniors – Are you interested in helping to plan PROM? The Junior Class officers are forming a PROM committee of non ASB students. Come to an interest meeting in D108 during lunch on Wednesday Oct 29.

Technology or Programming? – Are you interested in Technology or Programming? If so, come to Mr. Crouch’s room TODAY at lunch for Programming Club. No previous programming knowledge required!

Hey Seniors – Over 30% of you have not yet submitted your transcript request form. You will need transcripts for any scholarships or grants you apply for as well as VC. Also, Ms. Nordin will be submitting GPAs for Cal Grant consideration in early November and she must have parent permission to submit them. Did you know, Cal Grants can be used at Community Colleges and Trade Schools as well as 4-year colleges and universities. So, get those forms signed and submitted. If you need another form, there are some on the wall outside Ms. Nordin’s office.

Boys Soccer– Try-outs for the FTHS Boys Soccer team will be 10/27-10/31, Mon, Wed, and Fri. 2:30-4:30pm @ the Ventura College practice fields. You MUST have completed and turned in your Athletic Clearance Packet prior to try-outs; if you need an Athletic Packet please see Mrs. Carey in the front office. If you are currently participating in a Fall Sport you may try out when your current season ends.

New Community Service Opportunities

Student Volunteers needed for Friends of Library on November 1st, Saturday for book sale this Saturday at Albertson's on Kimball and Telegraph in Ventura. Hours needed are 8:00am - 3:00pm (may be finished sooner). Most help needed from 8:00-9:00 for set up please!! Students may work 8-12 or 12-3. They could also use help loading on Friday at 2:30 if students with early dismissal are available. Contact Kathy Thomson at .

Face Painters - Wanted for the Day of the Dead Event at the downtown Museum of Ventura County on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 11 to 3. This event will qualify for community service credit. Check the Volunteer Opportunities bulletin board between the Student Store and the counselors’ offices for more details. Be sure to RSVP by October 29th.

The Career, Job and Volunteer Expo - For high school students is coming! On November 14 from 9-11, there will be an opportunity for juniors and seniors to explore their options by meeting representatives from local companies, colleges, apprenticeship programs, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Location: Ventura City Hall. Transportation will be provided by bus. Come to the media center to pick up a flyer and return the bottom portion by October 31.

Fall Athletic Event Pass – Buy your athletic event pass now to get in to ALL Foothill Volleyball and Basketball HOME GAMES! Only $25 for students, $45 for adults, for sale at the Student Store. (Regular admission is $6 for adults, $3 for students & seniors, so this is a $120-$240 value with approx. 40 games to choose from!) Staff is admitted for free with your Staff ID. Our first home girls volleyball game is 9/23, so buy your pass now!
