1. Application Guidelines

·  Successful applicants for the Premier League or Coast League 1 will be required to field teams at First Team & Reserve Team level. 32 players maximum with a mandatory minimum of 12 x U/23 players. Successful applicants for Coast League 2 will require to field teams at First Team & Reserve Team level

·  There is no generic structure to follow in the application process but clubs/entities must provide responses to all of the topics in Point 4 of this application

·  Clubs are to complete the “6. Club Details” page of the application and attach the completed sheet at the front of the application

·  The application will be considered as a whole

·  Applicants may be inspected by either a review team member or an independent person/s. Prior notice will be given

·  Applicants may be required to attend an interview if more information or clarification is required

·  Applicants must provide details of their governance and administration structure

·  Applications not received by the closing date will not be considered for inclusion in either the Premier League or Coast League 1

·  Clubs that only want to be considered for the Coast League 2 or the Metro Leagues do not need to complete the full application process. A covering letter stating which competition they would like to be placed in will suffice

2. New League Structure From 2013

·  Applications are invited from current Football Gold Coast participant clubs or new entities for inclusion in the 2013 Premier League and Coast Leagues

·  Applications will be considered from all clubs irrespective of current divisional status or from new entities which may include merged entities

·  Clubs which do not apply for Premier League status or are unsuccessful in their application will be allocated a divisional position within the new Coast Leagues or Metro Leagues by the FGC Board based on their divisional standings in 2011 and current 2012 standings

·  Promotion and relegation between the Premier League, Coast League 1, Coast League 2 & Metro Leagues will be in place from the end of the 2013 season. Once the format is approved it will be included in CMC Rule 7.5

·  The decision of the FGC Board and independent assessors on the composition of all divisions will be final and not subject to appeal

·  Appendix B shows the proposed senior Men’s Structure from 2013

4. Topics

I. Media/Marketing

Applicants should indicate how they presently market their club. Include website details, social media, advertising etc. Applicants should also indicate if they have a media contact available.

II. Community Relationships

Applicants should elaborate on their relationship with their local community and/or schools. They should indicate how they plan to expand on these relationships as a senior football club in their area.

III. Junior Development

Applicants should outline their history of involvement and development of Junior players. They should also indicate how they intend to approach this important area into the future. Applicants should also indicate how they will plan for the requirement to field five (5) junior teams in 2013 and beyond.

IV. Location

Applicants should include details of their location and details of their catchment area.

V. History of Club

Applicants should provide a brief history of their club.

VI. Playing Achievements

Applicants should provide information on their playing achievements over the past seven (7) years. They should refer to trophies won or premiership honours, divisions competed in, divisional placing and anything else they consider relevant.

VII. Minimum Standards

Applicants should indicate how they meet the requirements in Appendix A (Minimum Standards Document). They should include details and indicate any future plans for further improvements. Where applicants do not currently meet the Minimum Standards requirements they should indicate how they will meet them by 2013.

VIII. Summary

Applicants must submit a summary document which in essence states why they deserve to be included in the relevant league applied for and how their presence will enhance the competition. This is the opportunity to show passion for the club/entity and to convince FGC as to why they should be selected.

IX. Additional Material

Applicants may submit any material, references, offers of support, they consider may benefit the application.

5. Application Process

All applications will be considered and reviewed by the Review Group and Independent Assessors who will make a recommendation to the FGC Board on the composition of the FGC divisional structure to commence in 2013.

Applications are to be returned to Football Gold Coast by the due date.
