Sportand Education Project Officer

Salary: £17,000 - £21,000,fixed term contract – Two Years

This position presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team, based at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road Stadium.

We are looking to recruit a full-time (40 hours per week) Project Officer who will be responsible for leading on the coordination and delivery of the Trust’sschool’s programmes and related activities(including Premier League Primary Stars and Move & Learn).The Officer will work closely with the School Sport Manager on the development and delivery of schools based provision inHertfordshire and Harrow. The role involves providing high quality football/sports coaching sessions for children, as well as supporting and developing primary school teachers with their delivery of physical education and school sport. The role will also include working on matchday activities and seasonal events run by the Trust, as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years’ experience of working with children and young people of all abilities in a school environment.
  • Experience of working on PL Primary Stars or a similar PE teacher education programme.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport award(AFPE), or be working towards.
  • FA’s Youth Award Modules 1 & 2, or be working towards.
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff/volunteers.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Good organisational and problem solving skills.
  • A full and valid UK Driving Licence, as well as access to a vehicle for work.
  • A passion to make a difference through sport and education.
