Recruiting
If you intend on playing basketball in college, you should attend one or more basketball exposure showcases. Showcases provide a beneficial environment for college coaches and players. Coaches can review academic information while evaluating a player’s athletic and basketball ability. This is invaluable as the college recruiting process begins. Coaches then communicate via mail or phone with players and players can then begin to make evaluations of colleges.
Florida USSSA, PowerBasketball, and Florida Hoops actively promote basketball and players throughout Florida. Our management level personnel have developed a reputation as a reliable and credible source for college coaches in promoting basketball and the players who play the game. We will provide you the best possible recruiting exposure showcase opportunity in Florida. This is our inaugural year of providing these showcase services.
We anticipate many Division II, Division III, and Junior College coaches to attend these events. They will receive free packets of information to help identify prospective student-athletes. These showcases provide a great way to start the recruiting process. We feel that Florida has many student-athletes that are in need of increased recruiting exposure. Our goal is to be at the forefront of assisting these players.
Florida Hoops Regional Showcase Series
The steering committee of the Florida Association of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) and the management of PowerBasketball are offering the top players in the state of Florida the opportunity to showcase their skills at a regional and state level. We have 6 Regional Showcase events that will feature each area’s top prospects. We are committed to providing the nations collegiate basketball programs with an accurate ranking of Florida's high school basketball players.
All registered players will be placed on a team with a high school basketball coach. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games. Players will be evaluated by the coaching staff and other evaluators attending the showcase. Player ratings will be then entered into our state-of-the-art software where the players will be ranked.
The top players from each regional qualifier will advance (at no additional cost) to the State Showcase in Altamonte Springs on October 15th and 16th.Hotel accommodations and food ARE NOT provided at the State Showcase.
