Florida FFA Recognizes State Winners in High SchoolJob Interview CDE

ORLANDO, Fla. –Florida FFA is pleased to announce the winners of the High SchoolJob Interview Career Development Event. The winners of this event were recognized at the 85th annual Florida FFA State Convention and Leadership Conference this past June. The event was held on June 10 in Orlando. The event was coordinated by Shirley Carte.

The top five individuals received awards sponsored by Florida FFA Alumni Association, a special project of the Florida FFA Foundation.

The FFA Job Interview Career Development Event is designed for FFA members to develop, practice and demonstrate skills needed in seeking employment in the agricultural industry. Each part of the event simulates “real world” activities that will be used by real world employers.

The top placingindividuals are:

  1. Clayton Lyons, Baker County
  2. Austin Polk, Trenton
  3. Mitchell Darnell, Blountstown
  4. Mylie Feaster, Durant

The Job Interview CDE is one of many educational activities held each year in which FFA members apply real-world lessons learned in the classroom.
