The Consolidated grant for Title I and Title II has been submitted to ADE. The Comparability report will be completed and submitted to ADE by the end of the month.

Cycle 3 of ESEA monitoring focuses on Title I, Title II and Continuous Improvement plans. I have begun to collect the documentation for this monitoring. They will be submitted to ADE through ALEAT by December 1, 2016.

Much of my time has been spent out to the schools to meet with new ELL teachers and reading specialists to offer support as they implement new strategies in the classroom. The observations and meetings are very productive and I look forward to continuing this type of support for the teachers.

I will be attending a conference focusing on Title I in November, and a conference dedicated to ELL’s in December. Some teachers will also be attending the OELAS Conference in December focusing on ELL students. A few of us will also be attending the LETRS trainer of trainers sessions to bring these reading strategies to the District. This training is funded through a grant.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary Grant
