1. Congratulations on your assignment to Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility San Diego. Our primary mission is to provide off-shore air traffic control and surveillance as well as active management of assigned airspace, operating areas, ranges, and training resources to promote the combat readiness of U.S. forces and support homeland defense. Duty here can be best described as both challenging and exciting, as we are one of the Navy’s 24/7 shore facilities. The command is at Building 93 at the end of Quentin Roosevelt Blvd, on Naval Air Station North Island.

2. Your Command Sponsor Coordinator is YN1(AW) Rovelino Palencia, and your sponsor will be assigned and standing by to assist you. The command and your sponsor are dedicated to assisting you with all matters concerning your change of duty station.
