2007 – Present: Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company, Ltd., Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar

Coordinator- Shutdown Sites Services & Logistics (under contract by Moody International)

  • Provide support services and technical advice information to RasGas Shutdown & Turnarounds Group and other SIMOP teams, as focal point for all matters related to site facilities services & logistics operations during LNG plant shutdowns turnarounds.
  • Develop maintain all site services related facilities to support RasGas plant shutdowns.Review existing plant site facilities, infrastructures & their conditions of use. Allocate manage contractors’ plant site offsite plot and staging area requirements.
  • Monitor/review RCRs (reservation change requests) & ATORFs for reservation of shutdown required areas in the plant. Manage reserved plots in RasGas & RasLaffanIndustrialCity to ensure adequate availability of facilities, infrastructures lay down areas for plant shutdown use.
  • Develop & implement site administration risk management processes & quality management plans.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Safety, various contractors other working teams, in allocating job staging lay down areas, ensuring all the necessary requirements are complied with in accordance to RasGas work management HSE procedures and policies.

  • Prepare the Shutdown Logistics Resource/Preparedness Plan indicating the various shutdown logistics requirements involved. Determine assess the site allocations for equipment, lay down areas, porta-cabin facilities, generators, cranes, rest shelters, access control center & emergency muster points, PTW center, traffic & parking area, catalyst equipment/materials lay down areas as basis for preparing Shutdown Layout Plot Plan.
  • Ensure all lifting equipments & operators have the right certification & registrations. Ensure assistance to & availability of inspectors during crane movements & heavy lift arrangements.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment, materials supplies needed for shutdown jobs are properly managed issued on time and the proper recording & inventory of materials is maintained. Execute post-shutdown demobilization activities, including materials return.
  • Participate in P&ID, tie-in, lifting jobs and shutdown execution job reviews, Safety & Risk assessment review. Attend regular coordination meetings with othergroups to ensure timely communication of issues minimize interface ambiguities work interruptions during shutdown. Evaluate Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure it addresses the shutdown jobs project interfaces.
  • Coordinate with RasGas Safety, EMS and Waste Management team in the development, preparation execution of Shutdown Logistics Plan, Shutdown HSE Plan, Shutdown Traffic Management Plan, Shutdown Access Control Plan Shutdown Waste Management Plan, ensuring strict implementation of these plans during plant shutdown.

Lead Project Engineer (during plant construction) - May 2002- June2004

  • Work with multi-discipline engineering project teamin support of the overall project activities relating to the construction & engineering works of greenfield HD Polyethylene complex, where I was assigned in Sulfur recovery unit, product packaging and materials handling, port& jetty loading, off-sites & utilities, andsupporting site commissioning activities. Overall management of the engineering team interfacing with design, testing, installation commissioning.
  • Supervised EPCM contractors vendors and perform project controls tasks in support of project work, provide the project teams with meaningful, current accurate data to assist them in making informed project delivery decisions, within the approved budget agreed completion dates.
  • Proactively ensure the EPC Contractor meets cost/schedule. Take a lead role in ensuring that contractor's project deliverables, procedures progress meet project requirements. Monitoring & coordinating the approval process of documents submitted for management action. Production of milestone acceptance recommendations reports to Project Manager.

Logistics Warehouse Team Leader (Packaging/Ship & Loading operations) - June 2004-August 2006

  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision of shift operations for HD Polyethylene Packaging, Sulfur Loading, Warehousing & Inventory Analysis & Inventory Control Management, Distribution, Port/Terminal Operations, plant and mobile equipment operation reliability, personnel safety management.
  • Proactively promote the continuous development of Operations shift group technical knowledge and competencies during the mobilisation, commissioning and operational phases of the plant.
  • Actively perform reviewof operational contingency plans taking lead role as ERT Team Leader undertaking response procedures in all plant emergencies.
