Fish Congress is the annual conference of Polish fish processing and aquaculture industries. This year we had successful edition of Fish Congress in Gdynia (in the days of March 30th-31st, 2016 with 300 delegates, 2 ministers of fisheries and 23 speakers).

Next Fish Congress, under the official patronage of Polish Minister of Maritime Economy and Eurofish International Organization, will take place in Hotel Sheraton in Sopot (March 30th-31st, 2017). Program partners will be: National Marine Fisheries Research Institute and WestPomeranianUniversity of Technology.

2017 program includes two plenary sessions and 4 simultaneous thematic panels.

First Day (March 30th, 2017)

(with simultaneous interpretation Polish, English)

The first plenary session will be dedicated to official speeches and future of fish processing and aquaculture industries.

Ministerial speeches, general introduction and market overview, fish processing leader opinion. Session open for media

There will be also 2 thematic session:

(1) Processing technology and food law

new food law, innovative technologies, new fish import opportunities, logistics

(2) Aquaculture development

During the session we wish to view, based on expert opitions as well as succesful case studies (as Jurrasic Salmon and GR Gosławice farm), on present state and possible development of Polish aquaculture, especially in the area of salmonids farming (rainbow trout, salmon). Among the main topics will be: RAS systems and certification.

Second Day (March 31st, 2017)

Day will start with parallel sessions:

(3) salmon and trout market

challanges on salmon products market in time of raw material high-sky prices

(4) pelagic and flat fish fisheries and market

opportunities for best use of Baltic herring, sprat and flounder

The second plenary session will be dedicated to the domestic market development and fish consumption promotion (generic promotion to increase fish consumption in Poland,structural changes in the retail market).

• 2-days full participation: 150 euro + 23% VAT per person (incl. 2 lunches, cofee break, gala dinner, conference paper access)

• one day (1st day) participation only: 90 euro + 23% VAT per person (incl. 1 lunch, cofee break, gala dinner, conference paper access)

Additional costs:

• accomodation in 5* Hotel Sheraton Sopot: 60 euro + 23% VAT per night (single room)

or 40 euro + 23% VAT per person per night in double room
