First Semester Standard Final: Metamorphosis Story

Before break you cast yourself as Gregor Samsa and awoke from unsettling dreams having transformed into something (or someone) else. Now your task is to finish the emulation or parody (or begin anew, if you prefer). Use descriptive details to describe the setting – your bedroom – other characters you encounter, and what happens to you next. How do family members or friends react? What obstacles do you encounter? (You need at least 3.) You must include at least one section of dialogue between yourself and another character in the story, and you may not have the whole event turn out to be a dream. You must also incorporate and label at least 2 SAT words from lessons 1-4, and 3 appositive phrases (1 sentence opener, 1 subject-verb split, and 1 sentence closer). The 3-6 page final draft is due in your shared Google folder by 11:59pm on ______; it will be worth 10% of your first semester grade.
