Your application should contain an overview of your research strategy and plans for the duration of the grant.

Detailed project plans are not sought, but instead an explanation of the direction your research will take, aims, strategies, innovations, planned techniques, methodologies and expected outcomes and the potential impact of the work on the field.

The project description is a crucial factor in the selection process and should address the Selection Criteria (specified in the Vice-Chancellor’s Research Grant Scheme 2016Guidelines) with specific reference to the applicant’s vision and plans to increase the University’s and Australia’s capacity in the relevant research area.

Provide an outline of the broad research themes to be pursued by the applicant over the year and how this will be extended through a successful external funding opportunity.
