First Aid IN the work place

Our courses are designed for your work place and the content relates to the incidents that you may come across in your work environment. Depending on the amount of risk and the amount of employees a company has determines the amount of first aid personnel that is required. Below is as suggested numbers according to the Health and Safety Executive;

FAA LEVEL 2 EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK

This course is 6 contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities. It can be delivered over one day or over 2 evenings.

CERTIFICATION

Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and a multiple choice question paper. The qualification is valid for 3 years. Students are recommended to undergo an annual refresher.

CANDIDATES

Maximum of 12 students to 1 tutor. Students must be a minimum of 14yrs of age.

FAA LEVEL 3 FIRST AID AT WORK

This comprehensive 3-day course (18 hours) covers a wide range of emergencies, it will enable participants to deal with situations confidently, safely and effectively. This course is delivered over 3 days; however, it can be scheduled over several weeks to suit your specific needs.

Maximum of 12 students to 1 tutor. Students must be a minimum of 16yrs of age.

First Aid IN SPORT AND ACTIVITY

EMERGENCY FIRST AID IN SPORT

This is a 7-hour course which is delivered over two evenings, it also requires 1 hour of home study. This course is aimed at sports therapists or physiotherapists that want to gain knowledge in how to manage emergencies that may happen on the pitch or court.

CERTIFICATION

Assessment is ongoing through the course. The qualification is valid for 3 years. Students are recommended to undergo an annual refresher. Students will also be certificated in CPR and defibrillation (AED).

CANDIDATES

Maximum of 12 students to 1 tutor. Students must be a minimum of 16yrs of age.

ACTIVITY FIRST AID

This is a comprehensive course that covers all the content of Emergency First Aid at Work plus a day dedicated to your bespoke activity/sport. It is delivered over 2 days or covered over multiple session counting up to 16 hours.This course is aimed at coaches and volunteers that want to gain knowledge in how to manage emergencies that may happen on the pitch or court.

CERTIFICATION

Assessment is ongoing through the course. The qualification is valid for 3 years. Students are recommended to undergo an annual refresher.

CANDIDATES

Maximum of 12 students to 1 tutor. Students must be a minimum of 14yrs of age.

FIRST AID FOR SCHOOLS

MINI MEDICS

This course is designed to be delivered to 8-11yr olds. It is delivered over 3 hours and is perfect for an after school club or to be session at brownies or cubs. It is taught with child friendly language and includes both practical and theory session which are aimed at the child’s ability levels.

CERTIFICATION

An attendance certificate will be given to all students.

CANDIDATES

BASIC FIRST AID APPOINTED PERSONS

This course is designed for 11-16yr olds. It is delivered over 4 hours and is perfect for an after school club or a session at guides or scouts.

CERTIFICATION

FAA LEVEL 3 PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID

This course Is delivered over 12 hours, normally over 2 days, however we can deliver it in a structure to suit you. This course is developed for those who work with children, for example teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup assistants etc. It meets the guidelines set by FYFS and Ofsted.
