Firies National School Playground Fundraising Appeal. By now, you may be aware that Firies N.S. in association with Kerry County Council is currently in the process of constructing a Community based playground adjacent to Firies N.S. The project will cost in the region of €95,000. However, a shortfall of approximately €25,000 will need to be made up through local funding. To this end, it is proposed to hold a house to house collection in the entire parish. Envelopes will be delivered to every house during the period 19thFebruary to 12th March and two of the school’s committee will return a week or so later for your contribution. I hope you consider this to be a worthwhile project and we would be most grateful if you could support us in as generous a way as possible.
