SHORT-TERM MISSIONS CAMPAIGN APPLICATION*

  1. This application is the first step in being considered for a campaign. Every campaigner has to go through Missions Committee review and approval process. Only one person per application. You must include a check for the deposit for each person with your application made payable to Jacksonville Chapel. The deposit is 20% of the total cost of the campaign, with a maximum of $500. (For example, if a campaign total cost is $2,000, a deposit of 20% or $400 is required when submitting this application.) The deposit is non-refundable. If we ask someone to step down one to two months prior to the departure date (due to sin issues, lack of fund raising, or personal issues, etc.), the deposit is our way to cover some of the cost the Chapel already allocated.
  1. Participants are encouraged to raise or give 100% of the total cost of the mission trips. Financial support from the Mission Committee will only be considered after the participants have raised or given 50% of the total cost. Participants should endeavor to raise 100% of the cost of the mission trip prior to the departure date of the trip.
  1. Support raising efforts should be directed at non-Chapel contacts. Letters may be sent to those in The Chapel who may have a personal interest in the individual seeking to go on a short-term mission trip. Participant is required to send at least 30 letters explaining support needs and deadlines. Should it become necessary, trip participants may then apply to the Mission Committee for partial financial support. Financial support from The Chapel will be limited to one trip per calendar year.
  1. In addition to writing letters, electronic forms of raising funds are encouraged. Those participants interested in this should coordinate their efforts with the Short-Term Missions Coordinator.
  1. The Chapel application should be given to coordinator for the short term mission campaign.
