ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: This written examination shall be held in accordance with the Agreement between the City of Austin and the Austin Police Association and with Civil Service law and rules, and shall be open to all sworn personnel who have had two years continuous active service as a Police Lieutenant immediately preceding the date of the written examination.

REGISTRATION FOR EXAMINATION: In accordance with Civil Service Rule 7.06, all eligible candidates desiring to take the examination MUST register by signing a Letter of Intent, by no later than 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Letters of Intent will be signed at the Civil Service Office, OneTexasCenter, 505 Barton Springs Road, Suite 600. Only those applicants who have registered by signing a Letter of Intent will be admitted to the examination.
