Recruitment Procedures – Retained Firefighters, and
Recruitment Procedures – Captains and Deputy Captains
The Recruitment Unit, in consultation with administrative and operational staff, has developed two procedural documents;
Recruitment Procedures - Retained Firefighters and
Recruitment Procedures - Captain and Deputy Captain
These procedures are now available on the Intranet. The aim is to provide a step by step process to assist Operational & Administrative staff when recruiting for these positions.
Key points
The new procedures:
· Applies to recruiting positions either as a Retained Firefighter or Captain/Deputy Captain.
· Aligns with merit principles as defined under the Government Sector Employment Act, 2013.
