FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE/SCHOLARSHIPS

SCHOOL YEAR 2016-2017

Catholic Education Foundation Student Aid - $60,258 awarded in 2015-2016

  • Available to qualifying families with children in Kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • Requires a $25.00 non-refundable fee payable to Private School Aid Service (PSAS).
  • The completed form along with requested documentation and check or money order must be mailed to Private School Aid Service, postmarked no later than March 15, 2016.

School Choice Scholarships - $6,750 awarded in 2015-2016

  • Available to qualifying families with children in grades Kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • You need only to complete The Catholic Education Foundation Student Aid Application to receive consideration for a School Choice Scholarship.

Saint James Church/Fr. Donald Goetz Tuition Assistance Fund - $36,200 awarded in 2015-2016

  • Available to qualifying families with children in Kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • A completed form along with requested documentation must be turned in to the St James Rectory office by April 22, 2016.
  • Applications are available in the School Office.

Note: You must have applied for CEF Student Aide & School Choice Scholarship to qualify for St James Tuition Assistance.

Kentucky Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)

  • Available to qualifying families Pre-School to 8th grade
  • Must be a Kentucky resident, not exceed income requirements, (currently serves applying families whose annual gross income is under $22,594 (family of 2), $25,942 (family of 3), $31,290 (family of 4), etc.) and meet one or more of the following requirements:
  1. Working an average of 20 hours every week and meet income requirements (NOTE: A parent who is involved for an average of 20 hours per week in an unpaid student activity including an internship, practicum or student teaching is exempt from the paid work requirement.)
  2. Attending a college or an accredited secondary school or pursuing a GED and working at least 20 hours every week and meet income requirements.
  3. Attending high school or pursuing a GED and be a teen parent.
  4. Receiving KTAP benefits and receives an authorization from their DCBS worker.
  5. Receiving protective or preventive services and receives an authorization.
