Financial Analyst / Assistant

Requirements:
*Professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred
* Must possess advanced level Microsoft Excel skills related to financial reporting
*Knowledge of Federal and Provincial financial regulations
*Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
* Excellent analytical skills
*Strong database management and report writing skills
* Working experience in accounting/finance
* Detail oriented is a key asset
• Post-secondary degree
• Mandarin speaking is a bonus
• Para legal working experience is a plus
• Knowledge of real estate development/construction is a plus
• 5 class driver licenses
Responsibilities:
- Reviews contract and other legal documents
- Assist in the consolidation of various divisions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis including variance analysis
- Responsible for the preparation of financial system reports (consolidation financial statement reporting) and database reports
- Monitors and reports on spend activity, including spend trends by department, by supplier, etc.
- Provide financial and statistical business analysis to support and drive business initiatives
- Handling of confidential and private information
- Arranging and coordinates meetings, conference calls and maintains calendar
- Preparation & follow up on internal and external meetings including participation in meetings and recording of meeting minutes
- Other accounting, tax and reporting tasks as may be assigned by Manager
- Completes projects by assigning work to clerical staff; following up on results
- In collaboration with other team members, including accounting, development, marketing and construction
- Assist with day-to-day personal tasks
- Accounting duties if needed
