Administration and Communications Assistant
Responsible to: Poverty Truth Commission (PTC) Co-ordinator
Key relationships:PTC Development Workers, Poverty Truth Commissioners, Faith in Community Scotland Projects, Book keeper and Senior Administrator.
Main DutyTo provide the Co-ordinator with administrative and communications support for the work of the Poverty Truth Commission.
Tasks
- As a primary focus, support the work of the Poverty Truth Commission, providing support for staff, volunteers and commissioners - including dealing promptly with emails, telephone calls and correspondence.
- Word processing documents, reports and letters, printing and collating materials for distribution. Updating relevant databases and electronic information sources to ensure good communications.
- Assisting with meeting and events arrangements, booking venues, catering and equipment as required.
- Create and distribute ‘Wee Update’ – Commissioners newsletter.
- Liaise with individual Commissioners to ensure effective communication flows.
- Contribute to the use of social media and other forms of communication for the Poverty Truth Commission, including keeping the website up to date.
- Provide general assistance with administrative requirements as is reasonably requested by the Co-ordinator of the Poverty Truth Commission.
