Finance BI FY18 Budget Report Instructions

Several Reports are available in Finance BI to assist in reviewing historical financial data under the new FY18 account and department hierarchies.

Accessing the Reports

NOTE – All screenshots show the FY17 Budget Reports dashboard. The current year dashboard is called FY18 Budget Reports.

1.  Log into Finance BI using the following Link: https://financebi.mcit.med.umich.edu/analytics/saw.dll?BIEEHome

The user name will be your unique name. The password will be your level 1 password.

If you do not have access to Finance BI, please use the following link to access the Finance BI user request form: http://www.med.umich.edu/finance/FinancialSystems/FinanceBI/

2.  Select the FY18 Budget Reports from the Dashboard dropdown.

3.  Nine individual reports are available on the dashboard. To navigate to each report select the desired report tab at the top of the dashboard.

4.  Prompts at the top of each dashboard allow you to define the search for each report.

5.  Several reports have charts that allow you to drill into more detail. Below is an example of one of the reports with drill down capabilities.

When you select a data point the chart a box will appear displaying the drill down report available. The drill through report will display the detail for the data point selected.

6.  Some table reports also allow you to drill into more detail. Reports with this functionally will display fact values in blue. When you select the value a box will appear displaying the drill down report available.
