FINAL RESULTS REFLECT CHARACTER OF CHRISTIAAN DE WET

The above leaders of the school – plus another 22 grade 12s – all obtained Bachelor passes in the final matric exams. That gives the school 73% Bachelor passes (39 of 57 learners) which enable learners to attend university. That is the main academic goal of the school: quality results, rather than just a pass. The class of 2014 also achieved 95% pass rate and 31 distinctions. The school is extremely proud of TebelloMotaba (back row, 2nd from the left and OratileMolale (front row, first from the right). Tebello’s results placed her among the top 100 learners in the Free State with distinctions in Mathematical Literacy, Life Orientation, Accounting(88%) and Business Studies. Oratileexcelled in Physical Science: 90%! Mathematics: 88%! Life Science: 88% and Life Orientation: 87%! Congratulations!

  • Next out-weekend: 28 February 2015
  • The hostel will be open on Sunday, 1 February, from 16:00 till 20:00. Please see to it that all residents check in before eight pm. The gates will then be locked.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: SMS SYSTEM

The school is implementing a bulk SMS-system in order to make communication with parents more effective. For this to function properly, we need the cell phone number of the parent/guardian who needs to stay informed as far as school and hostel matters are concerned. FROM THE FINANCE OFFICE

Parents are requested very kindly to make payments via deposits into the school’s account or by using electronic banking rather than sending cash payments with children. The finance office will not be open on Sundays anymore. If there are learners who want to make cash payments, the secretary will be at the hostel’s office between 19:15 and 19:45 on Sunday evenings after an out-weekend.
