We appreciate that for some families the cost of this activity, if applicable, may present a financial hardship and we want to ensure that all students interested in attending are given that opportunity. Please contact the appropriate building principal/administrator so that arrangements can be made to cover/supplement the cost.
I understand that this event will take place away from school grounds and that the students will be under the supervision of the designated school employee(s). I further consent to the conditions stated regarding participation in this event, including the method of transportation.
Marlborough Public Schools will make every effort to ensure the safety of all students on field trips.
In consideration of my child (or ‘me’ in case of student 18 years or older) being allowed to participate in this field trip, I hereby agree on behalf of myself and my child, to release the City of Marlborough and Marlborough Public Schools, their employees, agents, and representatives, including volunteers (collectively ‘Releasees’), from any and all claims, including negligence, which may be asserted by me or my child, or on behalf of my child, arising from or relating to my child’s (or ‘my’ in case of a student 18 years or older) participation in the field trip. In the event this release on behalf of myself and/or my child is held to be invalid or unenforceable, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Releasees from any and all claims, including negligence, which may be asserted by me or my child, or on behalf of my child, arising from or relating to my child’s (or ‘my’ in the case of a student 18 years or older) Participation in the field trip.
This release of indemnification does not apply to claims for intentional misconduct or gross negligence; not does this release or indemnification apply to the extent of commercial insurance coverage for any claim, but the Release of Indemnification shall apply to the extent of an self-insurance or deductible applicable to any claim.
Students of the Marlborough Public Schools are instructed to follow the rules of conduct as directed by the school.
