VSMA 2017-2018 Service Project

The Rescue Mission of Roanoke

Virginia Society of Medical Assistants President Karen Nichols-Skoff, CMA (AAMA) selected The Rescue Mission of Roanoke as the VSMA service project. Since 1948, The Rescue Missionhas been a place of refuge, healing and transformation through emergency services as well as in-depth programs that nourish the mind, body and spirit. The Rescue Mission serves the homeless as well as those caught in the bondage of addiction and out of options. The Rescue Mission is open 24/7, 365 days a year. With an average of 250 people each night in their emergency shelters, The Rescue Mission depends on donors to help meet the needs of their guests.

If you are planning to attend the Annual Spring Conference in Virginia Beach, please review the wish list below from The Rescue Mission and bring your donations with you. Our President will deliver the items to The Rescue Mission the week after conference with well wishes from the Virginia Society of Medical Assistants.
