FESTIVAL DAY PERFORMANCE OPTIONS – June 15, 2008

Read below about the range of activities available (including volunteer opportunities for non-performers), choose your option(s), and return that information to us by one of the following three methods (please note age requirements below):

PERFORMANCE OPTIONS
NOTE: Everyone will be in the Grand Procession and sing the full-group songs.

A. Chorus (age 13+) – while everyone will learn a song or two to sing together, the chorus will learn additional pieces to perform separately.
B. Morris Dance (age 13+) – men, women, dancers, non-dancers -- If you've always wanted to learn a Morris Dance, this is your chance!
C. Mummer's Play (age 13+) – no acting experience required, just a willingness to be silly and have fun.
D. Children's Set (for ages 6-12) – have fun learning simple singing games and dances.

NON-PERFORMANCE OPTIONS
NOTE: Non-performers are welcome to join in the Grand Procession and sing the full-group songs. Singing ability not required!
F. Props/crafts construction (all ages) – Help to make ribbon sticks, head wreaths, and other small props.

G. Sign-in/Set-up/Cheerful helpers – These incredibly important volunteers get to sit in a screened gazebo, signing people in when they arrive, directing them where they need to go, selling drinks and popsicles, and helping with general organization for the afternoon.

H. Schleppers/Assemblers – Some larger props will be coming from the Revels office and will need to be put together at the site. Some larger items will also need to be moved around during the afternoon and/or carried from our rehearsal spot to the performance area. These volunteers can also be performers.

I. Photographer/videographer – Washington Revels would love to have a record of Festival Day, in photos and/or video. We would like to have one or two official volunteers, ideally non-performers.
