Moravian Academy Soccer Fields

Monday

Dribbling - control of ball, possession, shielding, speed and beating an opponent

Coaching Points – body shape/mechanics, agility, balance, contact surface of foot, direction, deception, vision, tactical 1v1 application

5:00 PM – warm-up, foot skills, ball mastery, magic moves, juggling

Water break

5:30 PM – Technical Training - Dribble & 1v1 activities

Water break

6:00 PM – Street Soccer 2v2 round robin

Water break/snack/discussion – soccer rules

6:45 PM - Tactical – Dribble and small group activities

Water break

7:15 PM - Tactical – Dribble to score goals and beat the goalie

7:45 PM - cool down, stretch, review coaching points with players

8:00 PM – dismissal

Tuesday

Passing Techniques for short or long balls using the inside foot, outside foot, instep drive and chipping or crossing from oneside to central area of field

Coaching Points – body shape/mechanics, balance, weight of pass, accuracy, vision, disguise, tactical application – selection of pass and timing of pass

5:00 PM - warm-up, foot skills, ball mastery, magic moves, juggling

Water break

5:30 PM - Technical Training - passing & possession individual activities

Water break

6:00 PM - Street Soccer 2v2 round robin

Water break/snack/discussion - nutrition

6:45 PM – Tactical – passing and group activities (4v4 to 6v6)

Water break

7:20 PM – Tactical – passing to score goals ....beat the keeper

7:45 PM– cool down, stretch, review coaching points with players

8:00 PM- dismissal

Wednesday

Receiving & Turning techniques for receiving a ball on the ground or in the air using various surfaces of the body

Coaching Points – body shape/mechanics/position, body balance, face ball/get in line with ball, select controlling surface to use, present controlling surface to ball, relax and withdraw controlling surface, importance of first touch to control and prepare ball, turn with one touch, good vision/eyes on ball, tactical application – take ball away from pressure to prepare for passing, dribbling or shooting.

5:30 PM - Technical Training– receiving ground or air balls & individual activities

Water break

6:00 PM - Street Soccer 2v2 round robin

Water break/snack/discussion – mental preparation for competition

6:45 PM – Tactical – receiving & small group activities

7:20 PM - Tactical – receiving and turning to goal to beat the goalie

7:45 PM - cool down, stretch, review coaching points with players

8:00 PM – dismissal

Thursday

Finishing and Shooting techniques of scoring goals by using various surfaces (inside, outside, instep) of the foot to drive, bend, or strike balls first time. Attacking 1v1 offensive action (magic move) with ball to beat defender and shoot on goal.

Coaching Points – body mechanics and control of body, body position and balance, eye on ball, contact surface, vision and anticipation, peak at target, tactical application to game/window of opportunity/choice of foot surface/placement versus power/positioning to gain advantage.

5:00 PM - warm-up, foot skills, ball mastery, magic moves, juggling

Water break

5:30 PM - Technical – finishing inside 12 yard line & individual activities – uses left and right feet

Water break

6:00 PM - competitive shooting games 1v1, 2v2, 3v3

Water break/snack/discussion – brain/body soccer homework

6:45 PM - Tactical – shooting with back to goal or from crosses & small group activities

Water break

7:20 PM - Tactical – shooting inside 18 yard box beat goalie 1v1 or 2v1

7:45 PM – cool down, stretch, review coaching points with players

8:00 PM - dismissal

Staff/Camp Guidelines:

Frequent water breaks are a must (depending on the weather)

Sessions are subject to change

In case of bad weather, we will go inside. PLEASE bring indoor sneakers every day!
