1985-Present Owner/Operator ornamental metal workshop, in Princeton, NJ. Moved to Hopewell, NJ in 2007 as Firedance Studio, LLC. High quality bronze sculpture and ornamental arts in metal. With 30 years experience with artists, designers, and architects, our shop is set apart by our ability to work in a wide range of disciplines such as art jewelry and hollowware, art furniture, architectural lighting, bronze sculpture, and architectural such as gates and railings. We offer a full service custom ornamental metalwork facility including artistic design, engineering, machining, casting, forging and fabrication for personal, residential, institutional, and public applications.
1985-Present Pursuing career as a sculptor and goldsmith.
1978-85 Johnson Atelier Technical Institute of Sculpture, Mercerville, New Jersey. Worked as part of the training staff in all foundry departments (making flexible, rigid plaster, resin bonded and green sand molds; doing wax casting and structural welding; creating patinas, and restoral metal antiquities) and as head of metal chasing department. Worked with artists George Segal, Joel Shapiro, Marisol, Escobar, Gary Stefan, Jud Nelson, and others.
1977-78 San Antonio, Texas. Worked independently goldsmithing hollowware and jewelry, creating sculpture, painting on paper, and writing poetry.
1976-77 James Avery Manufacturing Jewelers, Kerrville, Texas. Designed jewelry.
1976 California State University at San Diego. Acted as artist-in-residence in exchange for use of facilities.
