7.  Lessons learnt: Geospatial Technology is being integrated into Planning a Management of natural resources, utilities, infrastructure, urban development, Watershed management, Disaster management and Transport sectors. Geospatial Technology including Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System and other related techniques, developed tools and Software have emerged as a powerful and imperative system in all disciplines of study along with research and planning in a short span of time. It covers satellite communication and satellite meteorology as well as satellite Remote Sensing. There is a great need to introduce the Geospatial Technology in education system at various levels in a designed way to provide wider understanding and acceptance of this technology.

ICT as a Consultant can be benefited in the program of Smart Cities announce by Govt. of India using Geospatial Technology in Urban Planning, Highways, Railways and Transportation Sector.

ICT already has a GIS Cell which is helping in projects to all internal divisions but need to expend its capacity with latest updated Software and Technology such as ArcGIS 10.x, City Engine, Web GIS, ENVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), MIS and training program to GIS personnel etc.
