Agenda Topics

·  FBA/Braddock

o  Need volunteers for security at the reunion in order to regulate sign-in and make sure people without tickets are not getting in to the event

o  For the Picnic/Family Day, Mr. Reid is going to try to obtain Liability Insurance so we can reserve the location for free. If that is not possible, we have to move to option B, which is hosting the Family Day at North Trail Park

o  Jenny will invite Karissa and Tori to come to the next FBA Board Members/Leadership committee meeting to see if they would like to become a little more involved with FBA

·  FBA Upcoming Events

Networking event

§  We will try to plan a networking event at Big Louie’s pizza place in the upcoming months (no date set yet)

Fall Picnic 2015

§  November 7th or 21st, contingent upon dates for Fall Camping trip

o  AdvenTravel

§  2015: Weekend of November 7th or 21st, contingent upon availability of accommodations (Mr. Reid to look up places)

§  2016: week of June 13 through June 20. Goal to go to Boston depending on cost we may look at other places (NoLA, SoCarolina, NoCarolina, ATL, etc.)

o  Winter Dinner

§  January 16th – ballrooms have been reserved

§  We should begin planning for this as early as now

o  Spring Picnic 2016

§  March 12th

·  FBA Chapters

o  FIU/MDC

§  Jezzebel and Santiago will be our reps at FIU

§  Mr. Reid met with them this weekend and status at FIU is up and running

§  MDC pending on Salome to begin school

o  Braddock

§  Ashley and/or Cindy may be possible liaisons with BHS. Need to speak with person in charge of process and try to secure a faculty sponsor

o  Other schools:

§  Coral Reef – liaison Ashley Vasco. Goal to have FBA next Fall

§  Southwest – possible 2 students will go there. Goal also for next Fall. Mr. Reid has someone already who will be willing to be a faculty sponsor

o  Structure:

§  Abner suggested a follow up process involving a weekly form from each chapter detailing any updates/completion of goals

§  Ana will work on creating the form based on specifications from Abner and what other school organization forms look like

§  Test run with FIU chapter this Fall

·  Bayfront clean up

o  June 20th

o  Supplies: Gloves (Steph, do you have them?), buckets, grabbers, knee/elbow pads, ponchos, tent, table, cooler with ice

o  Photographs -> Jenny

o  Ana will check Dollar Tree for availability of supplies, if not Mr. Reid will go to Home Depot

o  Ana is monitoring VolunteerMatch, so far 10 people responded. Will leave posting on until the end of the week and will send mass email to the people who have signed up already.

·  Donations

o  Mr. Reid will check if there is a reoccurring option in PayPal, but in the meantime there is another program that is used that can use reoccurring option. These are both linked in the FBA website

o  Need to come up with a speech to request reoccurring donations for FBA that includes our elevator speech (which everyone need to become familiar with)

o  One Two Tree is willing to donate on an annual basis and become a sponsor – Ana will talk to owner in regards to this

o  Next move is to create a profile about Mr. Reid in our website so people can meet the man with the vision. This helps with donations as it makes it more personable and puts a face to the name

·  Intern

o  There is urgency to have an intern full time

o  Mr. Reid is going to meet with Elise to go over the posting
