VERY IMPORTANT
On Sunday 17th August. The 3rd Stanford le Hope Community 5K off road will take place at Thurrock Nature Park. We need lots of entries and also help in marshalling etc. so please keep this date in mind and let me know if you can help.
This year’s charity
The committee have decided to give the club’s share of the money from the Summer Series and the Stanford le Hope 5K this year to ‘The Salvation Army, Basildon Corps, Christmas Appeal’. If you wish to make an extra donation please see any of the committee members.
A warm welcome to new membersLisa Garner, Paul Martin, Lauren Chantler, Andrew Lee, Iris Lee, Sarah Martin, Danielle Hughes, Kirsty Noble, Melanie Waddoups, Robert Vinicombe, Shelby Green field and Paige Young.
AGM/BBQ
As all the reports and last year’s minutes had been sent out prior to the meeting the AGM was kept down to 10minutes. The garden and the smell of sausages and burgers cooking welcomed members and guests to a very pleasant and convivial evening. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t too good but the rain kept off and the garden was in full bloom, we are so lucky to have this facility for our BBQ. Many thanks to the cooks, those who brought the many and varied puddings and those who helped to clear up afterwards.

Chris time was 55.42 and she came 4914.
Mine was 49.35, I came 2695.
Great well run race, no problem collecting bags etc, but course was very tight and packed. Both of us have booked again for next year as they are changing the course map.
Today we both got our PB in the park run 5k, I got 21.40 and came 17th, Chris got 25.34 and she came 39th out of 106.
I won't usually mention about our park runs, but to both do our pb's
made us very happy. Well done both.

Club Kit
With so many members taking part in races these days it would be lovely to see more club vests/T-shirts worn. Spectators can easily recognise you from a distance and you get much more support from marshals etc. We also, now, have a new hi-viz T-shirt particularly suitable for the dark winter evenings, but let’s not think about that!!! These cannot be worn if you are representing the club.Contact Sue 07909 778695 or
