FAYETTEVILLEHIGH SCHOOL – ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM

Advanced Placement Examinations

May 1-5 & 8-12, 2006

Advanced Placement exams will be given at FayettevilleHigh School on dates and times determined by College Board. On this page is a chart for you to keep which shows dates and times for the exams that will be offered. The next page must be filled out and returned by March 9, 2006. There are no accommodations for taking exams early: however, there are late exams available for unavoidable conflicts as identified by only College Board for which students will be charged.

The state has set requirements for receiving a weighted grade in an Advanced Placement class. Students wishing to receive a weighted grade must take the appropriate A.P. Exam. Because the state has set the requirement it will pay for the exams for students in good standing in A.P. classes. Students failing an Advanced Placement class (either semester) will not be expected to take the exam.

Students will be required to pay a one-time exam administration fee of $15.00. If you take only one test or as many as seven, the fee is just $15.00. Please make checks payable to Fayetteville High School AP. Both the fee, the registration form, and the signed transportation form are due on or before March 9, 2006 to the main office.

Students attempting to earn college credit with an acceptable exam score should check with the college/university they will be attending. All colleges/universities have specific policies regarding A.P. exam scores for courses that they accept. The web site is:

Using the exam schedule below, complete the attached sheet. The attached sheet is the only registration that will be required. In order to take an exam, students must complete and return the attached sheet to the main office by March 9, 2006. Students not registered by this deadline will not be allowed to take A.P. Exams.

If you have any questions please contact me at or or talk with the appropriate A.P. teacher.
