Faxon Law New Haven Road Race Adds HalfMarathon!
New Haven, CT: The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is making several exciting changes to the 2016 event! The New Haven Road Race Board of Directors is happy to announce the addition of a half marathon in 2016.The half marathon will be run in added to the traditional 20K, 5K and Kids Fun Run race. The event is limited to 7,500 runners.
John Courtmanche, New Haven Road Race President, states, “We’ve been fortunate to continually grow and improve throughout our history. We believe adding the half marathon will add to the Labor Day tradition and attract a new generation of runners to our race. The event’s success and ability to make such changes reflects the significant support we receive from the City of New Haven and the local running community.”
The Faxon Law New Haven 20K has again been selected to host the U.S. Men’s & Women’s 20K National Championship in 2016. The event expects to feature a number of past champions and U.S. Olympians. The upcomingyear will mark the 25th consecutive year a national championship race has been held in New Haven. The race has been selected as Runner’s World “Race of the Month” and is the nation’s largest 20K race.
The Faxon Law Group agreed to be the event’s Title Sponsor through the 2018 event. The firm has sponsored the event since 2006 and has been the Title Sponsor of the event since 2007.
