Cut-over to new systems was completed ahead of schedule, to full user satisfaction.

Tasks:Systems management of Human Resources departmental AS/400. Implemented and

upgraded OS/400 operating system and payroll system.

Tasks:Design and programming of amendments to existing FX/MM back-office system to incorporate processing for dates with century portion. (Year 2000 compliance).

Designing and building, using REXX and CLISTs, ISPF based Change Management and

Technical evaluation of CICS/400 under the auspices of an IBM Early Support Program

System design/team leading on four major batch and CICS/COBOL/VSAM and DL/1 system developments. These were FX/MM back-office deal processing, automated deal confirmation matching, nostro reconciliation and BRT calculation/reporting systems.

Tasks:Implemented APS/MVS code generation software resulting in major increases in

programmer productivity.

General application development and support, both batch and CICS.

Technical team leader for CICS conversions from 1.6.1 to 1.7 to 2.1.2, implementation

of CICS RDO, DOS/VSE to MVS conversion and TSO/ISPF environment set-up and

support.

A range of programmer, analyst/programmer and lead programmer roles with a software house in UK (1977-79), a software house in Australia (1980-84), and Legal and General Assurance (1984-86).

Working primarily on IBM OS/VS and MVS running TSO/ISPF using COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DL/1, and FileAid. Some IMS-DB/DC(18 months) and some PL/1(18 months).

Systems were mainly financial or insurance. In particular I worked on system design and programming for the National Australia Bank developing two major systems (Term Deposits admin and Automated Branch Merger) both lasting approx. 18months each, from 1982 to 1984.
