The Boston Office is located in the heart of the downtown Boston business district, or "Downtown Crossing" as it is called, at the corner of Winter and Washington Streets. MassDEP is located in several upper floors of the Corner Mall building (pictured right), directly across Washington Street from Filene's and diagonally across Washington Street from Macy's (formerly Jordan Marsh).
MassDEP recommends that visitors to the One Winter Street offices drive to an outlying train station and take public transportation whenever possible. If you need driving directions,please see Google Maps.
Public Transportation
Orange and Red Lines
Take either the Red or Orange Line to the Downtown Crossing MBTA stop. The subway station is located across from the Corner Mall Building.
Green Line
Take the Green Line to the Park Street Station MBTA stop. The MassDEP office is one block down Winter Street. You may also switch subway lines at Park Street and take the Red Line south one station to the Downtown Crossing MBTA stop which is located directly under the MassDEP building.
Blue Line
Take the Blue Line to the State Street MBTA stop. The MassDEP office is approximately four blocks down Washington Street. You may also switch subway lines at State Street and take the Orange Line south one station to the Downtown Crossing MBTA stop which is located directly under the MassDEP building.
Parking

Washington and Winter Streets are part of the downtown pedestrian mall and are closed tovehicle traffic. Commercial parking is available at several downtown locations, including:

  • Off Washington Street between Boylston Street and Avenue de LaFayette
  • Boston Common underground garage.
