Mission: “We believe that God is the Author of life and that abortion is never the answer to an unplanned “crisis” pregnancy. We are dedicated to giving compassionate practical assistance to women experiencing unplanned pregnancies; therefore we offer
alternatives to abortion. For those women not pregnant, we encourage abstinence.”
The Family Life Federation as founded in Baton Rouge in 1975 by John Baker, a local attorney, for the purpose of telephone counseling for women seeking abortion. In 1981, an office was established in the Catholic Life Center. The name of the organization was changed on April 24, 1981 from ‘New Life Baton Rouge, Inc.’ to ‘Family Life Federation.’ A year later we moved to our present location at 4724 Jamestown Avenue, Suite 3. We invite you to volunteer!

• To increase attendance in our education programs;
• To hold successful fundraisers, including our annual ‘Bundles of Joy’ gala;

• To present information to area Churches and groups who share our Mission;
• To host a reception recognizing our Board, donors, and volunteers.
