Some facts you may not be aware of that as pool operators we must conform to and document.
Adding water: For every person using the pool we must replace a % of pool water with fresh water.
Testing: Before opening and every 2 hrs until closing.
Temperature: The optimal temperature for sanitizing a pool is to a max. 84* higher temperatures render chemicals less effective.
White Disc: Located on the bottom of the pool is a white disc which must be visible at all times, hence when the evenings start getting darker this becomes a problem, which is why we will close earlier as the season progresses.
Pool Closings: If at any time the washrooms have to closed or the water is shut off (no showers, no toilets) we MUST close the pool. Similarly if there is a pool fouling incident there is a stringent protocol which must be followed and documented.
Inspections: We are subject to an inspection by the Health Board at any time. In the last 9 yrs we are one of the few pools in Huron County to pass inspection on every occasion.
