Physical Characteristics:

Cephalothorax: Most common form is orange. Others can be tan or light yellow.

Abdomen: Yellow or orange, with a pattern that sometimes resembles a face. Others have a large black spot.

Legs: Orange with intermittent bands white and black.

Range: Found in all parts of the world.

Habitat: Tall grass and shrubbery, normally found in meadows

Web Type: Irregular spiraling orb, the spider itself is normally found nearby in a retreat made from leaves or under bark or debris.

Fun Fact: Orb weavers are subject to many behavioral experiments including being fed flies with drugs on them to see if the pattern of their web changes. (It does).
