This position is responsible for providing a range of moderately complex clinical services (diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, individual, family and group therapy, etc.) with children, adolescents, and identified adults.This position is alsoresponsible for the case management functions of an assigned caseload of foster youth and respective foster homes in the Cincinnati division.

This will be accomplished through the following:

  • Complete diagnostic assessments, participate in the development of treatment plan, and provide ongoing mental health/clinical services as required by contract.
  • Maintains client documentation in accordance with SAFY policy, ODMH, ODJFS and COA standards.
  • Participates in clinical staffing conferences and helps coordinate treatment care plans to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate with the foster parent/s to discuss the potential placement of the referral, working in conjunction with the intake process used by the state and division.
  • Prepare and submit on time all required company, referral agency and regulatory reports and forms.
  • Maintain contact with referral agency caseworker using discharge reports, telephone calls, incident reports in addition to regularly scheduled and required written reports.
  • Attend hearings and semi-annual reviews for all youth assigned to caseload.
  • Maintain contact with primary family with a visit within two weeks of youth placement and no less than monthly thereafter.
  • Review referrals of youth with co-workers to determine if and where the placement may occur.
  • Conduct visits to the home as defined by policy, placing agency contract requirements, or as needed for the stabilization of youth.
  • Complete inventories of property for each youth according to policies and procedures.
  • Report census information timely and efficiently for purpose of financial billing and foster parent reimbursement.
  • Timely document outcome of home visits, interaction with parties involved in the youth's care and incidents as required by policy, regulations and contract.

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or child & family studies is required

Licensure Requirements:

  • LSW or LPC is required

Experience Requirements:

  • Two years experience in the field of mental health/ therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents and families
  • Experience in social work in a child welfare environment preferred

Skill Set:

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated skill in writing treatment plans, case notes, etc.
  • Operate a computer in regards to Microsoft Office and agency database system
