FALL FAIR
Planning and preparation has now begun for this year's major " FUND RAISER" for our parish. Dates have been set as follows:

FLEA MARKET SATURDAY, NOV. 1st
FALL FAIR SATURDAY, NOV. 8th
DINNER & CARD GAME TUESDAY, NOV. 11th
We, respectively, ask that all parish members, note these dates, and get involved in the preparation of all donations (items for flea market, bakery items, knitted goods, etc.) for a successful event.

Reminder for our Flea Market, Saturday, Nov. 1st. Please gather your items and bring them along on Friday, October 31st @ 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

or 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Surprise Box

Family Life is again this year having the $2.00 Surprise Box Table at the Fall Fair. All those things that you have bought or were given and never used past them on to be sold as a "Surprise Box". I will wrap them. You can bring them to Church and put my name on them or call me and I can arrange pick up. Sharon Smith - Family Life - 834-4102.

Induction Service

A very sincere thank you to all who attended assisted and participated in Wednesday night’s service. May God bless us and our parish as we minister together in His name.

Thanksgiving Service and Thanksgiving Meal

On Sunday, October 12th we will observe a special service of Thanksgiving at our 10:30 am service. The Church will be decorated and we ask that you bring vegetables, salt meat, breads or baked goods, and preserves to show the bounty of this land in which we live. (Parish Hall and Church will be open on Saturday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to accept your produce). The food collected on Sunday, October 12th will be used to prepare a Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday, October 15th. More details to follow.

Fall Fair Meeting

Our first "FALL FAIR MEETING" for this year will be held at the PARISH HALL this MONDAY, SEPT. 29th AT 7:30 P.M. All those who were attending meetings last year are welcome, plus any others who wish to participate in this very important fund raiser for our church. A Fall Fair Co-chair is being sought, please consider.

Church and Parish Hall Usage

Any groups/organizations that wish to use the parish hall or church for any events, meetings etc. MUST first book the date and time with the office. We appreciate your co-operation and understanding in this matter.

Dinner & Cabaret

The parish of the Good Shepherd, Saturday, Oct. 4th @ the Mount Pearl Community Centre. Tickets are $50.00. Please call the Church Office @747-1022 or Jim @ 728-1534.
