* Payment for clubs is due by Friday, February 3rd and does not cover the Preview Week.

* Clubs run from 3:30 – 4:30 PM, unless noted otherwise.

* Students who wish to enroll in a club must do so by Friday, February 3rd.

* Spring clubs end the week of May 8-12, unless otherwise noted.

* Minimum enrollment of 5, unless otherwise listed, maximum enrollment set by instructor

Rather than being billed for After-Care Fees, students who enroll in a club will pay at the time of registration. This will stabilize club enrollment and minimize bookkeeping. There will be no refunds for missed sessions.

____ Studio Art Club (Upper School Students, age 13 and up) 12 sessions Club Fee: $144

The studio art club is for students who are passionate aboutartand want to learn more about specific mediums, techniques or have projects they want to work on.The student can take as much time as she or he needs to master the chosen discipline and can build on knowledge learned. We will work in a relaxed atmosphere with focus on building an artistic skill set. Students of all skill levels are welcome to join as long as the student has the desire to learn. During the first club session each student will set goals for the semester.

Tuesdays:

______Mime! (Open to all grades) 12 sessions Fee: $144

Instructor: Frank Dolan

Learn the history of mime and basic mime technique. Explore the interesting history of this art form as well as the technique involved. A great foundation for theater lovers and budding comedians

Wednesdays

______Sewing Open Studio (Grades 5-12)______12 sessions _ ___ _Fee: $159

Instructor: Jenny Feaster (Limited to 8 students) (includes $15 supplies fee)

*Prerequisite: Students MUST have hands-on experience with operating a sewing machine.

Students with limited or exceptional sewing experience may participate. Students will devise and

implement a project(s) of their choice under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Students will be required to purchase their sewing supplies (material, thread, patterns) for their project(s). The school will provide the following: machine, needles, pins, and sewing scissors. We have some sewing machines for students to share. Students are welcome to bring their own machine and store it a school for the duration of the club.

Students in grades K-5 have the opportunity to participate in this popular activity! Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development.

______Battle of the Books______(Grades 5-8)_____11 Sessions______Club Fee: $132

Instructor: Amy Cummings

This is a reading incentive program, new members are welcome! Students read books and come together in groups to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read. This year’s book list includes titles like Serafina and the Black Cloak, The Brooklyn Nine, Red Scarf Girl,Wonder, Bomb, I Am Malala, and 21 more! Student competitions are similar to any quiz-like TV game show. We will mostly prepare by reading and engaging with books this semester with the hopes of competing both internally and potentially with outside schools in the second semester.
