1. New meeting day was been changed to 2nd Wednesday of the month….. motion approved by Matt C. /Olivia M.
2. Discussion of proposed changes in Polish Heritage LHD by Redevelopment Committee (Oct. 3rd meeting) possible consolidation: Donald Walsh is opposed to current boundaries, he wants to exclude Pizza D'Action, include the church and the school. Olde Holyoke Development (Mike Moriarty) also wants his Shaker block excluded.
The next Redevelopment meeting will be scheduled after the Nov. elections.

Polish Heritage LHD update:
Olde Holyoke Development wants to the ‘Shaker Block’ (59 Chestnut St.) on the National Register instead of the local historic district as this time. They have asked to be withdrawn from the district…..
Pizza D’Action is also withdrawing from the local historic district….
Roof @ 68 Fairfield Avenue is seeking approval… Adam Quinnville roofing
Commissioner Weiss questions why Quinnville continues to begin a roof on Fairfield without our approval….Its the 3 time
Ed Wilson from Quinnville brought the actual sample shingle to be used. Motion approved Com Mausel/Com. Weiss seconded
Announcements:
Resumes are needed for the Certified Local Gov. application. Please submit your resume as soon as possible.
Victorian Society of Boston may have some interesting events for the Fairfield Ave. LHD to attend….check it out.
Winter Carnival Events: Feb. 7-16 Sara Krohn suggested that Fairfield consider doing something for the event. To be discussed

Joe McGiveren referred the Polish Heritage Local Historic District to the law dept. to be put into ordinance form
Approved 4-0
Farr House discussion
Marty Dunn spoke for the YMCA in favor of the demolition;
Gladys Martinez and Jason Farrier spoke to continue the public hearing in re: to the Farr demolition.
Gladys requested that the demolition be extended.
Com. Mausel spoke in favor of selling the Farr House to Stephen Bosco.

Chairman Matt Chenier opened the joint meeting with the Historical Commission
Fairfield Avenue Minutes were approved and seconded (O. Mausel/P. Papineau)
Discussion of the Springfield Diocese Letter concerning the Polish Heritage Local Historic District. A motion was made to talk to the Mayor and seek his counsel
(B. Strycharz/ P. Papineau) before responding to the letter.
The Commission will be informed about a meeting with the Mayor. Com. Mausel will request a meeting asap.
