The following valuable information is designed to make your experience at Flatirons Scuba and Travel, Inc. enjoyable and to prevent any possible confusion before beginning the course. Scuba Tune Up Book-

Each student will need to pick up a scuba tune up guide book from the Flatirons Scuba shop. This will provide a time effective way to brush up on dive safety, planning and technique information. Please give yourself time to review through the tune up book before your scuba review pool date. You will need to bring your completed tune up book to the scheduled refresher time. We can answer any questions you may have that were not clear while doing your home study. Please note: to receive the certified Padi review sticker and a Divemaster/Instructor logbook signature you will need to complete this book.

PADI Medical Statement-

Please read the medical statement very carefully. If you answer "YES" to any item on the list, you will need to consult a physician before you will be allowed to participate in the course. There is a standard PADI Medical Statement and Guidelines for Recreational Scuba Divers Physical Examination Form that you will need to give to your physician. (Please ask us for this form) The physician must sign the form in the appropriate section in order for you to participate in the course.

Please remember to bring the followingto class-

1)Latest scuba diving certification card and logbook

2)All 3 waivers (Standard Safe Diving Practices, Certified Diver Experience Programs and the Medical Statement (with a doctor’s signature if necessary: see above instructions)

3)Scuba Tune Up Guide Book, filled out

4)Bathing suit and towel

5)Any dive gear you own and want to use in the pool (mask, snorkel, fins etc.)

If you don’t have your own gear, we will provide the use of regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, tanks and weights for the Scuba Review. Mask, snorkel and fins can be rented if you don’t have your own. Please make sure to provide the dive shop with your gear sizes before the review. We will give 15% off on gear purchases within a week of your refresher class.
