Academic Expertise

Dr. Fahid Rabah is an Assistant Professor in Civil and environmental engineering with extensive experience in teaching lasted for 15 years until now.

He started his academic career in the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) Palestine in 1993 as a Teaching Assistant in the civil engineering department. In 1995 he left the university to get his master degree in The Netherlands (Holland) and returned back in 1997 and started working as a Lecturer in the IUG until the year 2000.

In 2000 he left to the USA to get his PhD in civil engineering where he was working as a Research and Teaching assistant until the end of 2003. In 2003-2004 he worked in the USA as a Post doctor for one year where he was working in research and teaching in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department in the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

By the end of 2004 he returned back to the IUG and started to work as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering department and he is still working there until now. Besides teaching under graduate students he is also supervising master degree students. During this long career in teaching, Dr. Fahid taught many civil and environmental engineering courses as indicated below.

In addition to his academic experience, Dr. Fahid has an extensive consultancy experience where he worked as a part time private consultant with many local and international companies and Palestinian municipalities in the field of infrastructure projects (sanitation, water, wastewater, environment, and building construction).
