If you don't already have an account, access ResearchNet and use the 'Register' link to request a new account.

(

2) A CIHR PIN

If you don't already have a CIHR PIN, connect to your ResearchNet account and use the 'Register for a CIHR PIN' link to request a new PIN.

(

3) A Common CV Account

CIHR Grants and Awards Info Desk

As part of the electronic approval process, your application will be routed through the

authorized representative at the York Office of Research Services for electronic approval

prior to it being sent to CIHR. This means that your application must be submitted for

review by York’s Office of Research Services on or before the internal deadline date set

by the ORS.

I will send a notice of the internal deadline, once established, and the deadline will also

be posted on ResearchNet.

If you would like substantive comments on your proposal, please submit applications at least one week in advance of the internal deadline to allow time for feedback and revisions before the ORS internal deadline. I will offer feedback on your application and will conduct an administrative review to compare your proposal to the program guidelines and eligibility rules to ensure that the application is complete (signatures, supporting documentation, budgets, ethics, CV etc.) and that it conforms to all guidelines (eligible expenses, margins, font size, use of data/figures etc.). In this way it can be ensured that every application makes it to peer review and is not rejected on administrative grounds. For those of you in Kinesiology and Psychology that would like your application to be peer reviewed, please submit your application two weeks prior to the application deadline. ORS will conduct a final review of your application and may return the application to you requesting that changes be made or they may electronically approve it and forward it to CIHR. You will be notified by CIHR when your application has been received.

Full details of the submission process will be circulated in August
