This posting is for multiple non-tenure eligible, nine-month, full-time, benefit eligible faculty positions at the rank of Instructor. There is a possibility, but no guarantee, that one or all of these positions may be renewed based on program needs, available funding, and effective performance.
Job Description
The Program in Intensive English (PIE) is looking for applicants to fill multiple Instructor positions for the 2013-2014 academic year. The number of positions filled will be based on program needs and enrollment projections. The Instructors’ duties will include teaching up to four classes in the PIE each semester and supporting the PIE through other assigned responsibilities that could include teacher observation and curriculum development and facilitating and grading placement exams (assessment).
Minimum Qualifications
MA in TESL or related field.
One year of English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the following areas.
·  Teacher observation and/or training.
·  Materials/curriculum development in Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), and/or Content-Based Instruction.
·  Development and use of assessment procedures.
·  Teaching in an Intensive English Program (IEP).
·  Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations on campus and in the community.

Salary
$34,000 - $37,000. Commensurate with experience.
