Housing: / All exchange students may choose to live in dormitories and this is coordinated through the Aarhus School of Architecture
Entry levels: / Bachelor students:
Students must have passed at least 120 ECTS points (or equivalent) to be admitted to the bachelor program. Students will be placed on the 5th and 6th semester.
Master students
Exchange students are admitted to the 1st and/or 2nd semesterof the master program, where we expect a very high degree of self motivation and independence. Student work is arranged around study groups, where foreign students are paired up with local students concerning project and workshops.
Students coming from 4-5 year bachelor programs will be placed according to the level of their current studies. This means that students applying for a period of study abroad on their 4th year, will be placed on the 1st year of the AAA master degree program.
Semester requirements: / All exchange students are expected to complete a work load of 27-30 ECTS credits per semester.
60 ECTS corresponds to one academic year full-time work.

Studios / Undergraduate students (students on their 1st through 6th semester) will be offered an “Academic Optic”, which is an academic profile. The optics may be found here:

Graduate students will have to select a studio. Each studio is designed as two separate parts; one Fall semester part and one Spring semester part. Full year exchange students may, if they wish, change studio after the first semester. Each semester is concluded with one grade for the entire semester.

Examination: / The final semester project is graded whereas the single elements forming the project may be either graded or graded pass/fail. Only ONE grade is awarded for the entire semester.
Living expenses: / Living expenses: What to expect – please note, a student’s budget varies depending on how much their personal spending amounts to. Student living costs in Denmark is not that different from that of other European countries.
